Memcached in Hosting
Memcached is offered as an upgrade with each and every hosting plan offered by our company and in case you’d like to use it for any script-driven website that you host on our innovative cloud hosting platform, you will be able to activate it in a couple of easy steps via your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. During the process, you will get the option to upgrade two different things – the number of instances and the system memory. The first one has to do with the number of the sites that can use the Memcached caching system simultaneously, so if you need it for several websites, you can get a handful of instances. The second one has to do with the total amount of memory that the system will be allowed to use to cache content, so for many sites (or for one single resource-consuming site), you’d better get more memory for better results. The memory is available in increments of 16 megabytes and more memory can be added at any moment. With the Memcached caching system, any script-driven Internet site hosted on our cloud servers will load unbelievably fast.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can get the Memcached distributed memory object caching system as an optional upgrade with each of our semi-dedicated service and since it works with any script-powered app, you can use it for every Internet site that you host on our servers, regardless of what application you have used – Mambo, WordPress or Joomla™, a custom-created application, etc. You can add the upgrade via the respective section of the Hepsia Control Panel from which you administer your semi-dedicated account, and you can select two different features – the number of instances and the amount of memory that they will use. In simple terms, these things determine the number of the Internet sites that will use Memcached and how much system memory the system will be able to use to store your info. The two things are ordered separately for more freedom and one instance does not come with a pre-defined amount of memory. You can take advantage of the Memcached system with any kind of site and both you and the website visitors will swiftly notice the difference in the overall performance.
Memcached in VPS Servers
Memcached is offered by default with each and every VPS server that we are offering if you choose Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel, so you will not have to pay any extra cash to be able to take advantage of the potential of this memory caching system. The more powerful VPS package you choose, the more memory Memcached will have for data storage purposes, but you will have no less than several hundred MB all the time, which is much more than what you’d get with a shared package. This will enable you to use Memcached for lots of sites, no matter how heavy they are, which in turn means that you can use a low-end package for them without overloading the server. The caching system is excellent for script-powered apps like Joomla™, OpenCart, WordPress or Mambo, and you can use it even with a custom-created app. Soon after you activate the Memcached caching system, it will begin caching data and you will perceive the optimized overall performance of your sites.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Memcached comes for free with all Linux dedicated servers that we’re offering and the sole requirement is that the dedicated server must be ordered with the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. You can use the data caching system for any database-driven website, including those that are based on widely used Internet apps – for instance, a WordPress personal weblog or a Joomla™-powered community web portal. Each dedicated machine comes with a specific amount of memory that Memcached can employ, but the minimum amount you’ll get is 3 gigabytes, which is quite enough to enhance the loading speed of extremely large sites greatly, since this memory will be dedicated to storing the cached info. The system will start storing data as soon as it’s activated, so shortly after that, you will distinguish the enhanced performance of your websites and the lowered load on the server. Plenty of sites use the Memcached system to improve their efficacy, among them famous ones such as Wikipedia and Reddit.
