A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to non-existent addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a mistake. The negative aspect of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of junk emails, but this problem can be solved using anti-spam filtering software. It is also important to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward inbound email messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be astonishingly easy in case you have a Linux hosting service with our company. You can activate this feature through our advanced, yet simple-to-use Email Manager, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the hosting account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you have created enumerated in alphabetical order and next to each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously inform you whether a particular mailbox receives all the emails pertaining to a given domain or not. With one click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you want. If there is enabled email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will receive a warning notice from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to set up a catch-all email mailbox with ease even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you’ve set up using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you’ve already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
